Ambode becomes life patron of Movie/Music Hall of Fame

THE launching/Induction of fellows into the Movie/Music Hall of Fame is under way, and from the grapevine, eminent Nigerians including former presidents, Minister of Information and Culture, Lai Mohammed, chairman of DAAR Communications, Raymond Dokpesi, Senator Ben Murray-Bruce will all be inducted as members and grand patrons respectively.

Also, to be inducted at the event, which holds next month at the National Arts Theatre, Iganmu, Lagos, include the Oba of Owu, Sanya Dosumu, who was the original producer of the popular TV drama, “Village Head Master”, Senator Godswill Akpabio, Prince Tony Momoh, among others. But specifically, the highpoint of the event will be the induction of Governor  Akinwunmi Ambode of Lagos State as the life patron of the movie/music hall of fame.

Sources close to the founder, Chief Eddie Ugbomah, said the movie and music Hall of Fame will be temporarily located at Surulere. This is a welcome development, and there’s need for the Lagos State government and parastatals under the Ministry of Information and  Culture to support the laudable project. Recall that the front-line film maker, unveiled the movie and music Hall of Fame last year, while celebrating his 76th birthday anniversary.
